The Child-Like Empress follows Sephiran's rise to power in the Begnion court, and the progression of his relationship to six-year-old Sanaki. It's complete, as gen as you can possibly want, and probably doesn't entirely resolve itself. Inspired by what Lekain described of their role in Begnion in Part 4.1 of RD (with some inaccuracies).

Summary: Sanaki is a brat in the audience chamber. The senior senators realize what a prize they've found in Sephiran and elevate him to a rank proper for serving the empress personally.

Summary: Sephiran is promoted, and takes Sanaki down to the vaults of the cathedral to see Altina's twin swords.

Summary: Sigrun vents her suspicions about Sephiran. The empress attends the party Culbert is holding in Sephiran's honor.

Summary: Sanaki has a nightmare. The senior council has a proposition for Sephiran. He and Sanaki have a little tiff.
