It is a glimpse of blue that draws Sesshomaru's gaze from the garden beyond the screens to the woman brushing her hair, cross-legged on his futon. Her kosode droops in the back, the collar dips. His crescent marks her nape so deeply the skin peels blue when he reaches, scrapes the tip of a claw along the edge to trace its curve. Red stains the shape, beads on the cut.

Kagome pauses, looks back. Her eyebrow lifts, an expression he has grown to like. "Already?"

He pulls the kosode from her shoulders and answers with a kiss.
